New Specialty Coffee Hotspot - West Delhi Just Got Cooler with Rossette Coffee
New Delhi, India - Rossette Coffee Lab, founded by Vansh Anand, recently opened its doors to the public in May 2023. The new specialty coffee shop is located on the second floor of a residential building in West Delhi.
Stepping into Rossette feels like entering a coffee enthusiast's paradise. Heaps of green coffee bags from various Indian estates fill the space. Further inside is a cupping table and various espresso machines and coffee gadgets.
While Rossette serves all kinds of coffee drinks, the highlight is the unique "barista for a day" experience for just 100 rupees (around $1.22 USD). Customers can grind, tamp, and pull their own espresso shot on one of Rossette's high-end espresso machines like the Conti Monaco or Profitec Pro 700.
"Stepping into Rossette feels like entering a coffee enthusiast's paradise," described veteran coffee journalist Dhaval Mehta after a recent visit. "Heaps of green coffee bags from various Indian estates fill the space. Further inside is a cupping table and various espresso machines and coffee gadgets."
Coffee expert and journalist Dhaval Mehta, who recently visited the new lab, said "Speaking to Vansh or the customer turned co-founder, Aashrray Singla for even two minutes will give you an insider’s eye to the magic of specialty coffee."
The founders share insights into their origin trips and detail how even the robusta is selectively handpicked, impacting the flavor. Mehta noted that calling ahead to have the elevator switched on is a pro-tip for visiting Rossette's second floor space.
"By roasting on-site and offering immersive experiences like 'barista for a day', Rossette is showing how New Delhi's coffee culture continues to evolve," Mehta explained.
Rossette Coffee Lab is part of the growing specialty coffee scene in India's capital. As Mehta documented in his guide to New Delhi coffee for Sprudge, shops like Quick Brown Fox, Saltoro, and Kaffa Cerrado are leading the charge - roasting fresh coffee and educating locals.
Rossette represents a new generation of coffee shops tailored to coffee purists. By roasting on-site and offering immersive experiences like "barista for a day", Rossette is showing how New Delhi's coffee culture continues to evolve.
More Than Just a Cafe - Rossette Coffee Lab Powers Delhi's Coffee Culture
Rossette Coffee Lab made headlines for its new specialty cafe in West Delhi. But few know about Rossette's major B2B operations fueling coffee shops across Delhi and beyond.
Beyond the barista training and public cuppings, Rossette is a major distributor of coffee and cafe supplies in India's capital. The company provides beans, equipment, and expertise to many up and coming third-wave shops.
According to inside sources, Rossette will soon begin distributing its roasted coffee to corporate cafes and restaurants in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore. The company's goal is to be the premier coffee solutions provider for food service businesses across India.
Already, smaller startups like Chaipatty Chai have partnered with Rossette for their bean sourcing and roasting. As demand grows, Rossette plans to expand its roasting capabilities in Delhi and open satellite facilities in other metros.
The brainchild of hospitality graduate Vansh Anand, Rossette is determined to elevate India's coffee game. Anand and his team travel to origin frequently, learning from farmers. This direct trade approach allows Rossette to offer exceptional coffees.
Rossette passes on this expertise to clients, helping them level up their beverage programs. From suggesting brew methods to training baristas, Rossette acts as an invaluable coffee consultancy.
Rossette Coffee Lab was also recently featured in Mehta's guide to coffee in New Delhi for Sprudge magazine: https://sprudge.com/the-sprudge-guide-to-coffee-in-new-delhi-208436.html
The new West Delhi cafe may attract buzz, but Rossette Coffee Lab is quietly building a coffee empire in India. Keep an eye out for their beans, brewing gear, and consulting services near you soon.
